A High Wind Warning was issued for the coastal headlands in zones ORZ021/022 at 2025 PDT on 10/27/00 and cancelled at 0223 PDT on 10/28/00. The above reports verified the warning in ORZ021. Cape Blanco had a number of observations meeting the criteria; only the highest reported sustained speed and gust are listed above.No verifying reports were received from ORZ022, but Gold Beach did have a gust to 56 mph. North Bend airport is not on a coastal headland, but it recorded the only wind value meeting the warning criteria that occurred away from the headlands. Overall, it looks like limited the warning to the headlands was a good idea.
