Thunderstorm rains produced flash flooding in Westford, Maryland, and Milford. Highway 35, 42, and Hooker Mountain Road were particularly hard hit with trees and debris washing into roadways. Numerous homes also sustained damage from flood waters.
Thunderstorm winds produced scattered reports of downed trees across Seneca county, mainly in Ovid, Romulus, Fayette, Varick, and Waterloo.
Thunderstorm rains produced flash flooding across northern Steuben county, particularly in Arkport, South Dansville, Pultney, and Fremont. Numerous road wash outs and extensive erosion of roadways was reported and Route 54A was nearly closed. Preliminary damage totals from South Dansville total $50,000.
Thunderstorm rains produced several reports of flooding, mainly in Fayette, Varick, and Romulus. Flood damage to crops was also reported. A health care facility in Waterloo was struck by lightning, forcing a switch to generator power.
Thunderstorm rains resulted in numerous reports of flooding across Yates county. Culver Hill Road was washed out and Pre-Emption Road was flooded. Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan reported flooding in the main hallway. Crop losses were also caused by the magnitude of the flooding.
