Thunderstorms with heavy rain caused roadway flooding in and around Neptune during the afternoon of the 27th. New Jersey State Routes 33 and 35 had much standing water on them, but remained barely passable.

Thunderstorms with heavy rain caused roadway flooding in and around Neptune during the afternoon of the 27th. New Jersey State Routes 33 and 35 had much standing water on them, but remained barely passable. Several other roads also were barely passable. Doppler Radar storm total estimates were between 1.5 and 2.0 inches, most of which fell in an hour. Marble size hail and frequent lightning also accompanied the thunderstorms.
