A late night thunderstorm produced wind gusts around 70 mph causing widespread wind damage in Edwardsville. Most of the damage was due to downed trees and power lines. The storm carved a west path from North Main Street south to Goshen Road. Quite a few roofs and vehicles were damaged by downed trees and limbs.
