Snow fell from the mid afternoon hours through the evening. Even though snowfall was only an inch or two, roads became slippery. Numerous traffic accidents were reported, particularly along Interstate 55. Many of the accidents involved vehicles skidding off the highway, some overturning. Some events were postponed due to the weather, such as open houses and dinners.
