Bands of heavy snow trained across a US Highway 10 corridor, from Detroit Lakes to Moorhead, depositing 8.6 inches of snow on the Fargo-Moorhead area. As the snow started out quite slushy and then froze to surfaces, numerous traffic accidents were reported.
