Lightning struck the chimney of a Perryville house. It apparently traveled down the chimney and ignited a fire beneath the chimney on the first floor. The fire was contained to the living room, but there was smoke damage throughout the house. Damage was estimated at $25,000. No serious injuries occurred, but the owner was ousted from the house.
