Hail, up to baseball size, and high winds estimated to 80 mph were reported in the northwest corner of the county. A mobile home and some near by outbuildings were destroyed. Approximately 28,800 acres of crops were a 100 percent loss. Several fields of corn which were 3-4 feet high had stalks completely sheared off at the bases.
