Tornado completely destroyed mobile home. Fences were torn out, and 2 utility poles were broken off along Highway 23.

Tornado touched down on northwest edge of town. Small barn had roof torn off, debris in adjacent field, and windmill destroyed. Also, some large tree limbs down in town.

Winds uprooted many trees, blew away a chicken house, and other debris was scattered across a farmstead. The damaging winds affected the east end of Atwood as reported by a trained spotter.
