Heavy rain on the 24th and 25th caused minor flooding along the Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton. Lafayette crested at 16.14 feet (flood stage is 11 feet) on the 26th. Covington reached 19.47 feet (flood stage is 16 feet) on the 27th. Montezuma crested at 17.81 feet (flood stage is 14 feet) on the 26th. Terre Haute crested at 15.66 feet (flood stage is 14 feet) on the 27th. Finally, Riverton crested at 16.5 feet (flood stage is 15 feet) on the 29th. Flooding mainly effected agricultural bottomland and county roads adjacent to the river.
