The Jonesboro Daily News reported that lightning struck and destroyed a home near Jonesboro on Wright's Way. The lightning started a fire in the attic which quickly spread to the garage and upstairs bedrooms. The home was gutted and its roof burned away. No one was home at the time, hence no injuries were reported.
