Lightning sparked a house fire. Firefighting units from Compass Lake, Alford, Cottondale, Chipley and Jackson County Fire Rescue extinguished the blaze. The majority of the damage to the house on White Pond Church Road was confined to the roof and ceiling, however there was considerable water and smoke damage. Reported by the Jackson County Floridan.
