A series of fast moving weather disturbances brought a period of prolonged snowfall to much of western Colorado. Heavy snow with winds gusting to over 50 mph occurred with this storm. Most mountain locations received 6 to 12 inches of snow. Lower elevations received amounts ranging from 4 to 10 inches. Some heavier reported mountain snow accumulations include 19 inches at the Durango Mountain Resort, 17 inches on Red Mountain Pass, 17 inches at Coal Bank Pass, 17 inches at McClure Pass, and 12 inches at Gothic. An exception at lower elevations was 11 inches at Northdale.
