High Wind in Alaska, October 4 to 5, 2000
A large, intense low pressure system in the northern Gulf of Alaska brought 60 mph winds to outer coastal areas. Winds at the Yakutat airport reached 55 mph, but winds in excess of 60 mph were estimated at the harbor.
