Another round of persistent northwest flow behind a strong cold front produced orographically enhanced snows across the higher elevations of Fayette and Westmoreland Counties. Snowfall totals of 4 to 6 inches were reported at several locations over the mountain ridges in extreme eastern sections of the counties.

Snowfall totals of 4 to 6 inches were reported at several locations over the mountain ridges in extreme eastern sections of the counties. Across the lower elevations to the west, snowfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches were common.
