A powerful cold front accompanied by rain showers and high winds produced wind gusts of around 55 mph in southwest New Jersey mainly between 430 p.m. and 530 p.m. EST. It was the second shot of high winds to affect Cumberland County that afternoon. Numerous limbs and wires were knocked down. Vineland (Cumberland County) was hit hard with 10 separate incidences of downed wires. Connectiv Energy reported between 8,000 and 9,000 homes and businesses lost power in Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland Counties. A peak wind gust of 46 mph was measured at the Millville Airport at 503 p.m. EST.
