Carson City fire department and media reports of major wind damage throughout the Carson City area. Roof damage to hotel-casino as well as many retail stores. Numerous trees and power poles blown down causing widespread phone and power outages. Large car dealership sign blown down and completely destroyed. Rainfall that followed the winds was responsible for damage to merchandise in stores with roof damage.
