A cold front dropped south out of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, bringing strong winds behind it. With the warm temperatures and little snow cover, blowing snow was not a problem. The strongest wind occurred near the Lake of the Woods, where Flag Island reached a gust of 75 knots.
