A deep low pressure center (29.38 inches) passed just north of Lake Superior. Strong northerly winds on the back side of the low reached gusts to 45 knots over the Upper Peninsula counties along lake Superior. Isolated locations close to the lake had higher gusts that downed trees that blocked roads near Copper Harbor and Ontonagon.
