A low pressure center tracked east-southeast across the lower Great Lakes region. A large area of mixed precipitation was located across central lower Michigan. A band of heavy snow associated with elevated convection was embedded within the area of mixed precipitation. The snow accumulated up to 6 to 10 inches in this region. The snow quickly tapered to flurries just north of the band of heavy snow.
