The Little Wabash River rose rapidly above flood stage due to numerous thunderstorms during the first several days of the month. The Little Wabash River jumped about 14 feet from April 3rd to the 4th at the Carmi gage. Flood stage at Carmi is 27 feet, and the crest of 29.43 feet occurred on the 10th. At this stage, county roads become inundated.
