Brisk easterly winds preceded a vigorous front that stretched eastward across the Aleutians Saturday and Sunday. Wind gusts reached 64 mph across the Pribilofs Saturday afternoon. Friday and early Saturday, prefrontal southeast wind gusts in the Aleutians reached at least 74 mph...as reported at Adak just before frontal passage around midnight Friday.
