Locally heavy snow was reported early Wednesday in the mile 12 to mile 14 area of the Seward Highway. Precipitation around Seward was mostly rain. The ASOS at the Seward airport recorded 0.75 inches of melted precipitation from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning. Little precipitation occurred further north of this section of the highway.
