Flash Flooding and Hail in Oklahoma, April 13, 1999
Numerous thunderstorms developed across portions of northwest and north central Oklahoma during the afternoon and early evening of the 13th. In addition to numerous reports of large hail, flooding was reported across portions of Alfalfa and Grant Counties.

Numerous thunderstorms developed across portions of northwest and north central Oklahoma during the afternoon and early evening of the 13th. In addition to numerous reports of large hail, flooding was reported across portions of Alfalfa and Grant Counties. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain fell across northern Alfalfa County resulting in flooding and many road closings in and around Cherokee. Highway 64 heading west out of Cherokee was water covered and closed in spots. Highway 64 east of Cherokee and Highway 11 south of Cherokee became water covered as well, while in Grant county Highway 132 was covered by high water 1 mile south of Manchester.
