Heavy rainfall in the southwest part of the county caused several roads to become flooded. These roads had to be closed for more than an hour, until the heavy rainfall moved out of the area. Weather radars estimated that four to six hours of rain fell across the area in a four hour period. Most of the rain fell near the Alabama River and the rainfall quickly ran into the basin.
