Trees and power lines were blown down throughout the city of Athens. One light pole was broken in half by the high wind. A few homes had minor roof damage when shingles were blown off. One home had its siding torn off. The Cloverleaf Apartments had a minor fire when a tree fell onto the power lines and ignited the fire.
