A gust front ahead of a weakening area of thunderstorms pushed through central Wisconsin late May 18 and early on the 19th. Wind gusts reached 47 mph in Marshfield (Wood co.), 45 mph in Mosinee (Marathon co.) and Stevens Point (Portage co.) and 43 mph in Rhinelander (Oneida co.). Trees were knocked down by the winds in many of the affected counties.
