Numerous trees and power poles were downed in Chillicothe in Hardeman County; a utility pole was blown down 13 miles north of Vernon in Wilbarger County, and a carport was destroyed in Electra in Wichita County.

A line of severe thunderstorms moved across western portions of North Texas during the evening of the 9th, causing wind damage in many areas. Numerous trees and power poles were downed in Chillicothe in Hardeman County; a utility pole was blown down 13 miles north of Vernon in Wilbarger County, and a carport was destroyed in Electra in Wichita County. Lightning also struck a power pole in Vernon causing a power outage.
