A isolated supercell storm that developed in eastern New Mexico moved east across the extreme southern Texas Panhandle, including Parmer, Castro, and Swisher Counties. The storm dumped huge hail (up to softball-size) as it moved east across those counties.

A isolated supercell storm that developed in eastern New Mexico moved east across the extreme southern Texas Panhandle, including Parmer, Castro, and Swisher Counties. The storm dumped huge hail (up to softball-size) as it moved east across those counties. There were many reports of golfball (or greater) -sized hail from this storm, especially in/near Bovina, Dimmitt, and Tulia. The hail destroyed thousands of acres of wheat, cotton, and corn.This storm still appeared to be severe on radar as it continued moving east through Briscoe and Hall Counties, though no verifying ground truth reports were received.
