Large hail caused widespread damage to wheat, soybean, corn, and sunflower crops; broke windows, and damaged vehicles and buildings. The hail accumulated 6 inches in places. Over 20 thousand acres of crops were affected. Damage was not total. Over 2 months later some crops were still recovering according to the extension office, so damage estimates were not available.
