An usually cold weather pattern developed over Southern Oregon beginning on 12/19. A Freeze warning was issued for Oregon zones 003, 007, 008 on 12/20 for forecast low temperatures more than 10 degrees below normal in zones 007, 008, and below freezing in 003. This warning verified in many places in every zone, but the Medford low is listed above as representative of the cold temperatures.Numerous cold-related problems such as frozen pipes and heating system fires were reported in the media.
