During the late evening hours of May 6, thunderstorms with torrential rain produced flash flooding across the southwest portion of Rensselaer County. Significant road flooding occurred at Schodack and Schodack Landing. Four sections of State Highway 9J from Castleton-on-the-Hudson to the Columbia County line, were blocked by mud slides.
