Two 1,000 bushel grain bins destroyed with small sheds and stock tanks damaged. Widespread tree damage, including a large tree falling onto a mobile home as well as numerous power poles and power lines blown down.

Motel sustained roof damage with several local businesses sustaining sign and awning damage. Numerous trees blown down, including a few falling onto cars and homes as well as power lines.

The remaining 50 feet of the metal frame of a hospital under construction were blown down. (This was the same hospital that sustained extensive damage from the severe thunderstorm event of 05/11/98.)

Extensive outflow from dissipating thunderstorms in Lincoln and Ellsworth counties produced damaging winds in Salina that uprooted trees and blew out a plate glass window at a car dealership. One truck and three cars sustained damage at the dealership from broken glass.

At Marion Airport, extensive outflow from dissipating thunderstorms in Lincoln and Ellsworth counties overspread Marion County. At Marion Airport doors of the oldest hangar at the airfield were blown in, inflicting substantial damage to two aircraft.

A 4-mile wide swath of hail ranging from marble to golfball-sized stretched from Galatia to Odin. Wheat planted in this area was a total loss.

Hail ranged from 1.75-2.00 inches.
