Gradient high winds were reported across the northern St. Lawrence Valley during the afternoon and evening of Sunday, May 31st. Winds blew in excess of 50 knots (58 mph) at Massena, New York and in excess of 45 knots (52 mph) at Ogdensburg. These winds were in response to a strong low pressure system moving across southern Canada.
