With wet antecedent conditions during the past 11 days, bands of heavy rainfall caused flash flooding.In Orange County, the police reported several flooded basements and roads countywide. Route 44/55 flooded near Minnewaska State Park and a Section of Route 17M in Monroe was closed.In Rockland County, the Mahway River at Suffern rose rapidly above its' flood stage of 4.0 ft. at 11:50 pm EST and crested at 4.58 ft. on May 11th at 3:00 am EST. The river finally receded below its' flood stage at 10:15 am EST on May 11th.
