A thunderstorm intensified to severe limits across southern sections of the county along the lower end of Owasco Lake. Strong winds toppled trees and power lines in the town of Cascade around 415 pm EDT. A short time later as the cell moved across the lake it produced more wind damage to the east in Indian Grove as trees and wires were downed.

A thunderstorm cell became severe briefly over northwestern sections of the county late in the afternoon. Hailstones ranging from nickel to golf ball sized were observed by skywarn spotters in East Spencer.
