Heavy snow of 8 to 10 inches developed across the high mountains of northern New Mexico. Mountain highways between Tierra Amarilla and Tres Piedras were closed for the first time this season. Isolated heavier amounts of near 20 inches were reported on the highest peaks of the Taos County ski areas.
