A severe thunderstorm dropped golf ball size hail in Netcong. In neighboring Roxbury Township, the Morris County Public Works sent plows to clear the streets of hail that accumulated up to 5 inches. The thunderstorms also produced frequent lightning and caused scattered power outages throughout the county and included outages within Denville, Jefferson, Mendham, Parsippany, Randolph and Roxbury Townships. Power outages were also reported in neighboring Somerset County.
