An area of thunderstorms developed over west central and central Iowa. Thunderstorms moved across Carroll County. They were weakening as they did and what appears to be a downburst from one of the weakening storms swept through the town of Coon Rapids. Trees were downed by the winds with one landing on a house there. Another apparent downburst case took place in Dallas County at Perry when high winds downed numerous trees in the city.
