Following the passage of the thunderstorms mentioned in the prior report, high winds blew into southwest Iowa. There were numerous reports of winds around 60 MPH or higher. Creston reported a gust of 61 MPH at 0125 CST along with several trees and power lines down. Along with the gusty winds, temperatures rose to the upper 80s to low 90s in the area. The winds subsided rather quickly after they began.
