A winter storm over Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois produced widespread snow across the area. Accumulations were mainly in the 2 to 4 inch range, however a swath of heavier snow with amounts of 6 to 11 inches fell across West Central Illinois. Numerous accidents were reported due to the snow and several schools sent students home early.
