An afternoon of widespread heavy showers and thunderstorms caused generally minor flooding problems throughout southwest Idaho. Urban flooding caused by overloaded storm drains left standing water up to 5 inches deep at a few intersections in Boise, disrupting traffic.

An afternoon of widespread heavy showers and thunderstorms caused generally minor flooding problems throughout southwest Idaho. Urban flooding caused by overloaded storm drains left standing water up to 5 inches deep at a few intersections in Boise, disrupting traffic. In Washington County near the town of Weiser a levee holding an irrigation canal broke. The ensuing flood closed Highway 95 north of Weiser with water rising over a bridge and surrounding a trailer home.
