A rapidly moving Pacific low pressure system produced 6 to 12 inches of snow in most central and southern mountain areas of western Colorado. The heaviest reported snowfall was 16 inches above Marble. WInd gusts of 30 to 50 MPH produced areas of blowing and drifting snow. The strongest reported gust was 63 MPH on Whitehouse Mountain. This storm also resulted in many avalanches.
