A building pressure gradient south of the Alaska Range produced strong winds through the passes that reach Delta Junction. Maximum gust reported at Delta Junction ASOS was 59 mph. The Alaska State Division of Forestry noted some trees and power lines were downed by the wind. Dry Creek Co-op site, 43 miles southeast of Delta, reported winds 40 to 50 mph that day, no damage.
