A moderate 968 mb low, and its elongated eastward front, brought windy conditions to much of the Aleutians, the Alaska Peninsula and the Pribilofs. Winds were mostly southeast in advance of the front...with moderate to strong westerly and northerly winds reported around the center itself.Wind gusts were strongest at Shemya...reaching 69 mph. Winds around the Pribilofs and Alaska Peninsula reached speeds of between 48 and 53 mph.
