Summary of events for November 29-30 1998:An approaching upper level disturbance/cold pool aloft and a weak pacific cold front caused a solid line of thunderstorms to move across eastern Oklahoma on the evening of November 29 and early morning of the 30th. With the exception of wind damage near Okemah, this line stayed below severe limits for most of its journey across eastern Oklahoma, mainly producing wind gusts of 35 to 45 miles an hour. Once the line reached Sequoyah County, part of the line bowed out, producing damaging wind gusts just south of Sallisaw.
