On December 23, low pressure tracked from the Mid-Atlantic States north northeast to just south of Long Island by midday. This storm produced heavy snow across much of Windham County. In Bennington County, snowfall was much lighter with accumulations of 2 to 5 inches common. Specific snowfall totals in Windham County included: 9 inches at Brattleboro, 8 inches at Westminster, 9 inches at West Wardsboro and 7 inches at Townsend.
