Coordinates: 41.714, -81.245 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Strong winds, in association with a cold front pushing across the region, downed a tree limb which clipped an electrical line and started a house fire in Willoughby Hills. The high winds continued into the morning of the 30th, downing tree limbs on to power lines. The resulting electrical surges set two homes on fire in Mentor.
