Thunderstorms with heavy rain caused some urban and poor drainage flooding in the northern part of New Castle County. In Newark, 1.2 inches of rain fell within an hour. In Marshallton, overflowing sewers closed Duncan Road at Grafton Drive. The heavy rain also caused significant, but within bankfull rises in most of the major creeks and rivers in northern New Castle County.
