Hurricane force winds occurred on a very localized scale as an intense mountain wave formed along the foothills. A peak wind gust of 125 mph (110 kts) was recorded at Christ Mountain, 7 miles west of Fort Collins. In addition, a peak wind gust of 99 mph (86 kts) was reported 1 mile east of Buckhorn Mountain. No damage was reported.
